SKILL is a family story that began long before the name itself.
It all started in 1976, when Milan took his first steps into the rent-a-car industry. Over more than two decades, he gained experience, learned the business inside and out, and developed the principles that would one day become the foundation of something of his own.
In 2000, he founded SKILL Rent a Car.
Three years later, I joined him. What began as a job I was learning alongside my father gradually became something much more — a business I know, love, and am proud to run today.
Today, my mother Vera and I carry on the SKILL legacy.
A lot has changed over the past 26 years. The cars have changed, technology has evolved, booking methods have transformed, and customer expectations have grown. But the values Milan built SKILL upon have remained the same: responsibility, trust, and the commitment to making sure every customer knows they can count on us.
Milan is no longer with us, but his presence lives on in the way we do business. In keeping our word. In being there when our customers need us. In treating every customer as a person, not just a reservation number. And in knowing that every car we hand over carries our family name and reputation.
That is why SKILL has never been just a rent-a-car company to us.
